From Crayons to Crypto
“I’ve been making art since I was a kid. I have a distinct memory of coming home from a children’s art class, clutching a clown drawing, hoping my mom would see how special it was and be proud. I didn’t know what I was chasing back then — only that creating felt natural.
Art has always been there — I grew up drawing in the margins, keeping sketchbooks, taking elective classes, and working craft shows.
I got to know a lot of working artists during that time — talented people who were barely making ends meet. Watching them struggle convinced me that chasing art wouldn’t give me the life I was hoping to live; it couldn’t be more than a hobby. So, I went into graphic design and built a freelance career in advertising and marketing. Clients came easily through referrals, but fulfillment didn’t.
During the pandemic, I started drawing again — not for clients, but for myself. That’s when a good friend led me to crypto art. Suddenly the landscape shifted. Blockchain had changed the rules. Now the art world feels full of opportunity — a new kind of space where artists can actually thrive. This time, I’m excited about the possibilities.
My work now explores introspection, memory, and meaning — often through abstract forms and layered processes. I like creating pieces that invite you to slow down and look closer, that hint at a meaning but leave space for your own interpretation.
Even now, I still don’t know what I’m chasing — only that it’s not perfection, just something honest.”
